I went with Luca to his homecoming dance in Salt Lake City.
I spent an hour on my makeup, then an hour on my hair and then a lot of time on putting on my dress. I arrived at his house at five and he wasn't even dressed yet. Which made me really jealous, because I had spent three hours getting ready and he was done and ready in less than ten minutes. My dress was so huge and tight that I had difficulties walking on stairs, getting in cars, breathing, going to the toilet and moving in general.
First we went to a fancy restaurant. It was in downtown SLC and I really enjoyed the ride. I always liked cities more than villages and it was nice to be in a big city with people actually walking on the sideways, instead of driving in their cars. I had some trouble getting all my dress out of the walking path in the restaurant, but I managed to not spill on my clothes, something I can not say of Kirby :)
The second course was an individual salad. We all had the Caesar.
The third course was the best (in my opinion). We had a fondue pot of bouillon cooking in the middle and everyone had a plate with raw meat of their choice. I had seafood, because I hadn't eaten that since I'd arrived here. We had to put our food on the fondue forks and cook it for a minute or two. It was so good! I'm definately going to try remaking it at home.
For dessert we had a chocolate fondue. It had caramel and roasted pecans in it. Before we started, Josh put it on fire and it had blue flames for a while.
I was so full afterwards that I was afraid to burst out of my dress.
There is a huge difference between the people in the small village where I live in and the city people of Salt Lake City. The people at the dance were crazy! Most of the time it felt more like I was in a moshpit than at a dance. Those people don't need alcohol or drugs. They were twerking and pushing all over the place. It was a lot of fun to watch all those crazy people and I had a great time.
The four of us watched the horror movie 'Cabin in the woods'. It was a great movie and definately scary enough. There was one last surprise: when I wanted to put on my heels again, there was a mouse in it.
Homecoming was two weeks ago and I am sorry that I have uploaded this so late, but I was waiting for the photos (which I still not have).
And that was the end of my homecoming dance. Luca, thank you so much for asking me, I had a great time!
